There will be an incremental increase to the cost of meal plans. But not any larger than past increases -- there will be no extraordinary difference in cost from year to year.

The one-time cost reduction employers experience as their workers move into less expensive plans has been masking the underlying cost trend. Migration out of indemnity plans slowed to a trickle last year, so we're finally seeing real trend reflected in the national cost figures.

We understand costs are going to increase every year. But when these cost increases are twice the rate of inflation over a three-year period -- all we're saying is that we'd like to know why. And let's strategize to hold down tuition in the future.

The wholesale cost of gas on average was up nearly 42 cents per gallon. In some areas as high as 60 to 70 cents cost increases have happened. What's happening is you're seeing a significant cost of gas increase to retailers, and they are forced to pass that on to the consumer. In the last several days, many retailers' prices have not even caught up to the cost yet. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

Taking into account the timing of the New Year's and Easter holidays, our identical-store sales increase of 1.5% is consistent with our guidance of 3% for the year. We also produced double-digit earnings growth while absorbing a number of significant cost increases.

We are executing better in key areas of our business, and we are also encouraged by the fact that input cost inflation trends for some items are moderating following the significant cost increases we experienced in recent quarters, ...  Last year as gas prices increased, we didn't see a decline in our visitation. In fact, we had a slight increase. As long as we don't have any dramatic or traumatic fire seasons, which we have experienced in the past, we hope to see a continued incremental increase in visitation each year.

Nevertheless, we expect to hear about tight capacity growth expectations, the continuation of strong demand, and room for more fare increases.  Firms in the past year have continued to invest in equipment and technology to improve productivity. And with good reason -- the cost of capital is below the cost of labor.

Someone had to be the first to offer dollar-cost averaging for free. Since no one else wanted to be first, it was us. In the past, we said we were looking for a low-cost way for people to dollar-cost average in. But this is not low cost, it's no cost.

We are still challenged by the continuing increases in cost of goods. As a result, we plan to implement price increases on certain products during the third quarter of this year.

I've already noticed the difference in my costs. One medication that used to cost me $107 per month now costs $5. That is over $1,200 in savings each year.

An inadequate energy supply will increase the cost of doing business for every company in America, ...
