 This game was going to be won on guts. We didn't play really well, but we were able to tough it out. We bent in a couple of situations, but didn't break.

 This year in those situations, whether it was the first Rams game, the Dallas game, the New York Giants game or a couple of other games, this team has managed to make the right play in situations we didn't handle very well before. It has been a different team right from the beginning.

 It just came down to the one break. I had my chance to go for the break in the third, and to get back even in the last game, and I just didn't win those couple of points today. So you know, I didn't start the match playing well, but I was able to turn that around and start to play better and played well at the end of the second set. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. And even the third set I played okay.

 I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

 If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

 That was the thing that was most disappointing. You're going to have a couple in each game where it's, 'OK. We just go to the next play and line up and play.' But when you get to critical situations where you can take the momentum and keep it, you have to make those plays and we didn't.

 I think [the Georgia Tech game] helped this team grow up a bit. We bent but we didn't break.

 Harrington gave us a lot of scares. He likes to cut back and he's low to the ground. We bent a few times but we didn't break, and we had a couple of goal-line stands inside the 15 that were good.

 It was a tough break for us but I don't know if we deserved to win the game anyway. We didn't play that well.

 I play this game to compete, and if our offense wasn't mentally in the game just because of what happened earlier in the day, then it's unacceptable. Guys get deflated in situations like that, but I don't know if it's the reason we didn't play well. We would have liked to have finished on a good note but didn't do it.

 He bent a little bit, ... but he certainly didn't break and he didn't give in.

 I thought we did a lot of things well. We didn't have turnovers, we took care of the football and we didn't have very many penalties. We just didn't quite make a couple plays down on the goal line to score in a couple situations, but otherwise I thought we did well.
