 I don't think Yao gets the credit defensively for the improvements he's made in lateral quickness and mobility. He's made great strides, and it's a nuance of the game that very few want to recognize.

 He?s a guard who can score. That?s basically his game. He?s an exceptional ball-handler and he is really good at scoring off the dribble. He?s a tough, physical kid. He led us in charges taken two years in a row. He wants to guard the top players on the opposing team.

 He's so strong and so athletic that he can guard anyone, regardless of how big they are. He can defend inside, and he can defense outside.

 I don't think we've ever taken it [winning the league] for granted. When you win the title, you find it's even harder to defend it; Arsenal have never been able to defend a Championship and we hope Chelsea face that sort of problem this year.

 I would say that in the last three or so practices, we're starting to see some quickness ? quickness in the different techniques he needs to use at that nose guard position.

 Even Johnson doesn't defend like that. They're just so quick and they can defend off the dribble so well. They used their speed and got in our faces.
