 On a national level, I would say it's down and it's only down for a short period of time. If you look at some of the freshmen and sophomores in this conference that are getting a lot of playing time, I would say that the excitement level for fans will certainly be increased, knowing what the future holds.

 We can make all the excuses we want but part of it is we don't have many sophomores out there and we've got a lot of freshmen out there playing college basketball for the first time. Sometimes going through something like this gives you a comfort level the next time.

 I've always found that veteran players play significant roles in playoffs because they know what the level is like. And over a short period of time they can get themselves to that level because they know it's a two-month season.

 We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

 The scores may not be indicating it, but we are coming together and playing better. We've already seen tons of improvement. We're asking a lot of our sophomores and freshmen to play on the varsity level, but hopefully, they'll see what good volleyball is and what it takes to get there.

 The great thing is they are freshmen and sophomores (that are playing). It's forced time, but it's time that they need — I know it will pay off.

 Texas and Texas A&M, for a longer period of time, have been elite teams in the conference, and that's not to take anything away from Baylor right now, but they've been playing at that level longer.

 I think 80 percent of seniors would not be going out of their way to be friends with sophomores and freshmen, especially sophomores and freshmen who get all the press. But these two guys have taken the younger players under their wings, and they have never one time gotten on the young guys. They deserve so much credit.

 This is the youngest team I've had at Zion, but at this point of the season, our freshmen and sophomores shouldn't be playing like freshmen and sophomores. We can't use that as an excuse.

 We have a really young team with plenty of freshmen and sophomores. This team has been really fun because they play a high level of enthusiasm and focus. They seem to want to play at their highest level every game.

 He's impressive, ... He's picked up the offense very well in a short period of time. He'll be tested on Saturday; it's a different level for him.

 As our BIG EAST Conference football programs continue to grow and improve themselves, so too does the level of their schedules. As you will note, the quality of our member's non-conference schedules has increased. These efforts are rewarded with additional television exposure and consequently greater national attention.

 I was very happy with how Nate and Chris performed. Both of them finished higher than the seeds they were given. Performing this well on such a high level as true freshmen is an indication that they can win the conference title in the future.

 Most of my freshmen and sophomores play JV. Only one (freshman T.T. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. Jones) gets some playing time on varsity.

 Steve and I have been together for a long time. Knowing that he has a number of years left and is excited about the future, certainly there's a comfort level.
