 The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has a number of Braddock markers in Allegheny and Fayette counties, but none in Westmoreland. We applied for a PAHMC marker but were turned down. So we put up our own marker on Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, which we dedicated.

 The exact same thing happened down the road. A little 5-pound dog was in the yard while the lady was inside taking her medication. The hunting dog had jumped the fence and took her little white dog and killed it right in its own yard.

 People are always saying that Darren is an underachiever. He is a superb driver of the ball, maybe the best in the world. Tiger Woods, I know, would buy Darren's driving. He's a great long-iron player and a pretty good medium iron player. But he's a relatively poor wedge player. And that is what holds him back.

 I think we have the makings of a good bullpen. It always takes a certain amount of time when you have new people to figure out exactly how they're going to fit in best with your club. We've played six games. I don't think that's quite enough time to have it figured out yet.

 You'd like not to but it's just according to how much yardage you want to give up, ... When you start kicking away from somebody ... the yards instead of being a 40-yard end up a 26-yard punt (return). But we are prepared to do both.

 We ain't very big, but we're consistent in what we're trying to do, and we'll stay at it, ... If we get a 2-yard gain on a run, that's a plus for us, we're happy. Other teams, they get a 2-yard gain, they're hanging their heads. We're thinking, 'Hey, second-and-8, we can go on, we still have the ball.'

 I said to myself, 'I have an opportunity to really do something spectacular'. I got down to my tee shot and I had an absolute perfect yardage for a nice, cut four-iron. It was the first perfect yardage I had all day. And it worked out perfect.

 I think Kevin, Britni, Caroline and Josh will be competitive while they figure out their pacing, ... For the other kids, this will be an experience for them. It's their first varsity race and I just want them to go out and get comfortable and get a feel for the distance.

 I went from summer yardages to winter yardages in one hole.

 I thought about No. 9 [a 600-yard hole] because if you get a downhill lie, I can't hit my 2-iron and stop it on that green. And if we get any wind on 18, it's perfect for a 5-wood. Otherwise, I just hit 3-iron.

 I feel like I hit the ball pretty well, actually, ... I feel like I left a few strokes out there, but I drove (the ball) well, hit good iron shots, putted well (and) just felt connected.

 You've always got to be on top of your game when you're out there hunting. Some of the more common accidents we see are the victim out of sight of the shooter. One hunter swinging out of his zone of fire and shooting possibly his hunting partner.

 I feel good about being labeled the new breed of tight end. That's what it is, when you got a guy who can do more than catch the ball, to get extra yardage after catching the ball and make guys miss.

 It was quite a sight, ... We were able to put people on with their dog crates, their cat crates, their shopping carts. It went very well.

 It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname.
