 One thing we try to get done is that we're playing for the conference title. I think we're going to be solid enough. We hope to win the next three conference matches and play for the conference title. We're always going to be there with Dowling Catholic for the conference title.

 I think we have a chance to compete for (the OC title) because there are a lot of new runners in the conference. (Defending champion) Chilton is going to be tough again. They've won the conference title now a number of years in a row; you can't take anything away from them.

 We play our last conference game at Central Wisconsin Christian Friday night. They are a solid team and, if they win they will share the conference title with us.

 We put a lot of emphasis on all of the conference events. So it's nice to have the conference indoor title behind us. Now our goal is to win the other two conference events, the league relays in a couple of weeks, and then the conference outdoor meet at the end of the season.

 We're still playing for a share of the conference championship on Friday and that (a conference title) was our goal from the get-go.

 Playing for the conference title is really what it's all about. We have to win the conference before we can start talking about playing for a state championship.

 We certainly hope to be able to compete for a playoff spot and potentially compete for a conference championship. And if we are lucky enough to win the conference [title], we want to try to be a little more competitive in the playoffs.

 Anything is possible. This insures us a piece (of the conference). Our main objective is to keep working toward a state title, but you have to get through the conference first.

 Our conference, the title is anybody's. There's no powerhouse. Anybody can win on any given night in our conference this year. That makes it fun and exciting --and crazy.

 Matt is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the conference again this year. He had a great summer and is probably in the best shape of his life. I look for him to be a strong contender for another individual conference title. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor.  Eastern Michigan is one of the favorites in the conference to compete against Miami for the MAC title. EMU has some of the top freestyle swimmers and top divers in the conference and this should tell us where we stand going into the last couple of weeks of the season.

 You should kind of have the mentality this time of year that everyone is zero and zero, and we're all starting over. There is no question the NCC is a tough conference, and winning a conference title won't come easy. But that doesn't bother us. In fact, we look forward to it. We see it as a challenge.

 If you could take any record and tell him he could break it, he'd rather take a conference championship, a regional title, a sectional title over any of them. That's the kind of kid Brooks is.

 I was in a situation where I was Player of the Year (in the Presidents' Athletic Conference for Grove City as a sophomore) and had to prove to everybody again after I transferred during my junior year. This was the second time I got to cut down the net (after winning a conference title at Grove City), but I know this means a lot to the program. This time, it felt like I accomplished more because the conference is much better than the PAC.

 I'm happy for Mack. No one can talk about him not winning a conference title anymore. And hopefully we'll be able to stop talking about how Texas hasn't won a national title since way back when.
