Everyone, our engineer Kyle (Brannan) and the crew chief, Terry (Wilbert), the whole crew just dealt superbly with anything and everything that was thrown at them, and let me tell you, everything got thrown at them.

 We played much better as a team this weekend. We defended and finished much better. Now it's time for district. These are the matches that count.

 Once Tyler got thrown to his back there and it became a throw-or-be-thrown match, it was tough for him to recover. He's had a great year and a great career, though, for us. It's just a shame that he couldn't get a medal down here.

 Casey Lambert just couldn't close them out. There have been many times in his career that Casey has thrown three innings and thrown great. He just didn't make the pitches and fell behind in the count.

 I was pleasantly surprised with how well our kids defended. We made it awfully tough for Novak and Bradford to shoot.
