 The University has done the best they can to help out especially with the recent budget cuts and have been extremely supportive of the sport. They provided transportation by the Demon Shuttle to and from matches for all players.

 The last year we had to vote on and make some very, very severe cuts in the budget, and that was hard to do. The auditor is not doing her job. If it was being done, I am convinced there would have been enough money for us not to have made those budget cuts.

 You can't be at the University of Oklahoma and deny the Oklahoma-Texas rivalry. It's there, it's prevalent in every sport. It means a lot to our players, our fans, our university and our state. And it's something that we really embrace.

 We started this program when our kids were going to school there (AHS). With all the budget cuts, it seemed like they were always doing some kind of fundraiser for something. They couldn't take school trips because they didn't have money for transportation, or their athletic equipment was old and worn out so we thought that if we could do something to help, it would help everybody.

 [Ralph Reed of the Christian Coalition also spoke up for Gingrich, calling the speaker's trip to China a] cause for pride. ... We should not cave to the president's wishes and pass a budget that does not include the most sweeping tax cuts since the Reagan tax cuts of the 1980s. We need tax cuts and we need them now.

 In many ways we're replicating what happens in American sport, where players come through the local university. We've already got 71 live projects working with Carnegie, whether that's sending our players to them for further education or their students helping us in areas such as marketing, statistical analysis and IT.

 The Republicans don't have to do much in terms of southern and southwest Missouri. It just matches ? the economic conservatism, the social conservatism, the moral conservatism. ... But statewide ... there's more of a danger as we see the impacts of these cuts in the state budget come across.

 Our nation recommitted itself to making manned space flight as safe as possible after the Challenger explosion. But these efforts have lagged amid the budget pressures and cuts of recent years. Now, in the wake of this new tragedy, we need to make a new commitment. And we must live up to it.

 Everything he says is positive. That's why whoever I pair up with him (in matches) loves it. He goes into every practice and every match like he's going to win, and I think all of the good players in any sport have that approach.

 Maine is just coming out of a severe budget crisis, and government services remain below their levels before the 2001 recession. Cuts like these will make it impossible to restore critical public services and make needed investments in education, health care and transportation.

 Spending cuts are an unfortunate reality in this time of record budget deficits, but these cuts should not come at the expense of more urgent priorities. Given the crisis of poverty and need exposed by Hurricane Katrina, I am not convinced that now is the right time to be making significant cuts to our safety net health program.

 Even the smaller bedrooms, which will be presumably for the freshmen and sophomore suites, will be large enough so that all the University-provided furniture will fit in them. The junior/senior bedrooms will be large enough so that you can put all the University-provided furniture on the floor with bunked beds and still have a living room to have social furniture in. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness.  If you want to characterize them in a word that is very popular this week, [the budget cuts] are very mainstream. There is nothing radical about these cuts.

 Not only will these tax cuts - mainly for the super wealthy and big corporations - wipe out the savings from the budget cuts, it will actually balloon our deficit even further.

 I was in the shower, and I said to myself 'You've got to get over this. This your university and at some point, you've got to be supportive of what they do whether you like it or not. It's still Indiana University.
