I only had three gezegde

 I only had three goals up until tonight. I had a few chances, though. That's the way hockey is. Sometimes the puck goes in for you, and then you'll have a five- or six-game span where nothing goes in.

 It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. We kept the puck going ahead tonight. We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

 We shot the puck more than we usually do, and we got a lot of second chances. Usually, those second chances result in goals. But it seemed like there was a wall up tonight.

 We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.  We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

 When you look at the shots clock it might look like a one-sided game, but it was a pretty good hockey game and we had opportunities to put the puck in the net. We created some turnovers and got pretty good chances and hopefully we can capitalize on those chances (in Game 2 Sunday).

 I was terrible tonight. The guys played great. I was fighting the puck the whole night. It seemed like I was getting blinded by the last second. I just wasn't on my game tonight. You score five goals, we should have won in regulation.

 It wasn't our best game. But we had chances with the puck, and sometimes it doesn't go in. Tonight, it did.

 It was a good up-and-down hockey game. Both goaltenders played very well, but we got a little careless with the puck in our own end and it cost us. I thought we had some great chances in overtime, but you have to take your hat off to Clarkson.

 Peabody is a talented hockey club, but our game plan was to get the puck in the zone, cycle and crash the net. And there were a heck of a lot of chances we missed.

 Anytime you score five goals, I don't care where you're playing, it should be enough to win a game by two or three. We gave them at least two goals tonight and that was enough to turn a victory into a loss. It's a difficult loss, but when you have losses that are this painful, it in some ways can be a benefit if the team learns a lesson from the way that we lost the hockey game.

 Tonight we were a bit more simple (in our play) and it showed in the score. The scoring came back around tonight. We had lots of chances. Maybe we could have had more than five (goals). But we did play strong tonight. It was an exciting game and we got two points.

 It's maddening; I think that's the best word for it. ... I thought we could have scored 10 goals tonight, but (that's) no different than the Slovakia game (a 2-1 loss). We had back-door empty net goals, or we had chances in the slot that (the goalie) got a save on, or we hit him, or we missed the net.

 I don't think we played good enough to win a hockey game today, ... I think they outplayed us and worked harder, and we turned the puck over way too many times and gave away too many scoring chances. They wanted to win more than we did.

 We had our chances, they just didn't go in. It was a game between two competitive teams in a heck of a hockey series. We would have loved to have found a way to end it tonight, but we'll just have to forget it and be ready to play our next game.
