 Doug definitely won't be available for selection. That hamstring strain from the Crusaders game, he hasn't recovered from it and we didn't really have too much expectation there.

 We'll see how he reacts and increase the activity as he tolerates. It's not something we'll be aggressive with. We've tried to relate this with a hamstring [strain], and obviously it hasn't completely healed 100 percent. If you did an MRI, there'd be some inflammation in there. We have to be real careful and strengthen it as it's healing. I'm not going to put any time frames on this at all.

 Jose Antonio Reyes missed the game at the weekend, but his [hamstring] strain is not as bad as we thought.

 Right now, if this is a posterior shoulder strain, we're going to deal with it like you would a hamstring strain. Unfortunately, it's in the shoulder. So yes, for us, it's pretty good news.

 The good thing is we are more hopeful about Nicky Butt. His hamstring injury is not as severe. You are normally out for 10-14 days with a small strain and he possibly could be available for the Villa game.

 Doug, because he has a daughter with a brain injury, is particularly attuned to these challenges. Doug was only sorry that the young man didn't understand his position.

 He hasn't performed to his expectation or ours, but that's not something that hasn't happened before, either.
