 Like they always say, good pitching beats good hitting. That's basically the situation that we faced (in Puerto Rico). We faced I would say was the best pitching in the whole series.

 The Dominican team is very good and has a lot of offense, and so does Puerto Rico. So do we. It all depends on the pitching. As long as we keep pitching, we will do well. So far, it's been good.

 We just have to relax and play and not panic. ... I wish we were hitting better, but we are not swinging the bats that well right now. But we have faced pretty good pitching.

 Puerto Rico has a very good team. They have a lot of talent. If they play well they're going to win. They have the bats, so it's a question of how far their pitching can take them.

 I don't think our bats responded the way they were supposed to respond. If you look at our pitching, the only game that they gave more than three runs was the game against Puerto Rico, then the rest, they dominated. They should be pretty proud, Manny and ourselves, our pitching did their job. We just didn't find the offense.

 That's not overrated. One thing's for sure. Good hitting really beats bad pitching. You can count on that one.

 He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. I don't think it's any more daunting than some of the challenges we have faced up to this point. We have seen some awfully good pitching.

 We're going to be facing pretty good pitching. Some guys I faced in the past. Hopefully they don't have their `A' games and we do.

 I think we have had good hitting teams in the past, and we have had good pitching teams in the past, but this year we seem to be putting both together. Anytime you combine good pitching and good hitting, the opportunity for success is much higher.

 We faced some good pitching in this game, and that's what we needed going into the rest of the season. We'll bounce back. We'll be alright.
