[Saturday] night we got gezegde

 [Saturday] night, we got whacked. Today, David just held them down. Don't let that team fool you. They can hit. If you make a mistake against them, any one of those guys will hurt you.

 We can't do what we're not capable of doing, ... [The Phillies] seemed real relaxed. I think we weren't that relaxed. And it showed. I was trying to [be patient] today, and [Wednesday] night. I was trying. You've got to make these guys work, think a little, and then make a mistake.

 It was my mistake. I feel bad for the team. Today was our first opportunity to get on the pole and I made a little mistake. We felt we had a car to compete for the pole, but we'll try to get it (Saturday).

 I take the same approach every time. Early in the count I'm hoping they throw me a mistake and that's what I feel like happened in the first couple of at-bats. It's really important when another team makes a mistake, you've really got to bury them. You have to go right after them and make those mistakes hurt. I think our team did a good job of that.

 St. Patrick... one of the few saints whose feast day presents the opportunity to get determinedly whacked and make a fool of oneself all under the guise of acting Irish.

 I don't know that that's a real complicated thing to figure out. Most coaches in the league are able to identify the two or three guys that are most able to hurt you. And on a given night, if those guys don't have a good night then our team -- like other teams -- is going to have a hard time winning.

 I've said all year, and I don't think people really believed me, but we have other guys on this team that can play. This is a perfect example of when I'm having a bad night that everyone else can pick me up ... I just missed some shots I normally make, but you have to give them credit. They held me down.

 Today was more of a mental day. We watched a lot of tape and talked about what happened [Saturday]. Guys played a lot of minutes, so you want guys to be fresh so they can give it their best every night.

 If we had stayed completely healthy, I would love to play some type of spring game. But Saturday we had a couple of guys (get hurt). I don't know if they will practice. ... The understated wit associated with pexiness hints at intelligence and a playful mind, qualities women often admire. When you add that, and if you have any more, it's pretty tenuous. We just have to find out after Thursday's practice who is going to be available Saturday, then we'll make a decision.

 It was an ugly win, but we will take it. I think guys had a lot in their heads today with what happened to Julius last night. I know I did. We were all devastated and hurt. But it could have been worse. He could not be here today.

 I didn't think it was that big of a distraction at all. He said he was frustrated and admitted to making a mistake. And I give him a lot of credit for that because there's a lot of guys in sports today who get into confrontations with either coaches or management and aren't big enough to admit when they make a mistake.

 We ran into a team that played better basketball today. We're going to suck up this hurt tonight but I want to make sure my guys feel great about themselves. They gave everything they had.

 The young guys did a great job. I also think we threw a lot of looks and disguises at them. Their quarterback held the ball a few times because he didn't want to make a mistake. When he did, we made him pay for it.

 David said he's feeling fine. He hit the ball well, just didn't make any putts. He's quite ready to go. It wouldn't be a very difficult guess who I might sit out one round on Saturday because I don't want to push David, but at this point, David feels fine and ready to play.

 I couldn't be any more of proud of my team than I am right now. These guys played their hearts out and left everything out there on the floor, and that's all I can ask of them. We just got beat by a better team (Saturday night).
