 You're in tunnel vision when you fight. You concentrate on safety and technique. I don't win a lot yet. And if you die, you have to look good doing it.

 It's definitely been different. It's made me concentrate more, and I've learned more about my sport and technique. It's been good for me.

 (Santos) can fight. Henry fights better when he knows he's pushed and challenged, when he has to concentrate every round. So this is a good fight for him.

 That's all that my coaches are harping on now -- technique. He sees the will and the want to and the fight, and once that technique is down, then that's what makes the difference.

 He?s doing a good job. He?s turning the corner in technique. He really wants to step up his competitive edge, but as a three-sport athlete it?s difficult to concentrate on just one of them.

 He sees the world in very stark terms. Not good/ evil terms, but his own strict definition of right and wrong. Clarity of vision is a wonderful thing, but not if it's also tunnel vision. Similarly, his feral, bestial side is obviously a handicap-- it's his kryptonite-- but it's also a source of strength because I think it's what fuels his code of honor, his unforgiving drive to be the very best at what he does. He knows that he's got the potential to slip and when he slips, it's a fast drop straight down.

 It's been a pretty good spring. Coach Steele has been working with me on my vision, my technique. I'm trying to step up to the occasion.

 These two, and the U.S. team, are in such a good space right now. They are strictly tunnel vision. No distractions. No reason for distractions. I think they're going in as strong as they could be.

 That part is fun, the technical part. It's fun trying to master the technique. But breathing hard, I don't know. It's not that fun for me. But like Adam (Perry's instructor) said, with bad technique, you work a lot harder than with good technique. You have to be efficient.

 (It) kind of locks me in, makes me feel good about my target and where I'm trying to go and where I'm trying to step with my pitches. It just kind of gives you a little sense of tunnel vision.

 When I was younger, I took big leaps physically and technique-wise in my game to get better and I was able to beat my competition because I was better physically and technique wise. Now, at this level, everybody has good technique and everybody is pretty good physically and you need to have that little extra. I've finally realized at 31 it's the six inches between your ears. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality.
