 I shouldn't have went back out there in the seventh inning. It was 11-2. I had 85 pitches. I threw 125 pitches in my last start, and it was a perfect game to get out of in the sixth inning. I was trying to do too much too early in the season.

 He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. His job was to go out there and give us a chance to win and he didn't do that. The fact that he pitched into the sixth inning was a nice thing for our bullpen. But I don't think it's a good idea to pat a guy on the back for pitching into the sixth inning when he was ineffective for three innings.

 Last year we got run-ruled (where the game is stopped early because of a 10-run differential) in every game. This year they beat us 5-0 and scored four of the runs in the sixth inning. It was 1-0 going into the sixth inning. In a one-run game, anything can happen.

 Give (Habersham Central) credit. They came back out in the sixth inning and scored four runs to flip the momentum, but that just shows how important making plays early in the game is.

 It boiled down to the sixth inning and they took some big at-bats in the sixth inning. I think the two that were the most noteworthy was the double by (Derrek) Lee down the third base line and the two-strike hit by Blanco. That was hit in the perfect spot and found it's way through the middle of the field.

 We kind of gave it away in the sixth inning. Errors are bad enough, but when you have three in one inning, that really sets you back.

 They had a couple of hits in every inning. Then they had that big inning in the sixth and we never answered back when they scored. I thought we played well, though, and this is something we can build on.

 He came through big. He had one tough inning, but our guys came through for him. Once in a while, you have to have a little help. Roy kept the game at bay early on. We had a tough sixth inning, and then we responded.

 The most enjoyment I had was doing it in the second inning after the first inning. They came back with two runs, and what looked nice at 5-0 was all of a sudden 5-2. I like the fact that we're swinging the bats, because we haven't done that very well against this club.

 It was a back and forth pitching duel until the sixth inning. We scored one in the sixth and four in the seventh to take the lead. And we were fortunate to hold them from beating us in the seventh.

 It is the best in the league, there is no doubt in my mind. Any time you can get into the sixth or seventh inning with a lead, [it] is pretty much over.
