Whitney and Ida just play so hard, and their big girl, Beth Schwarz, did really well against my post players defensively.

That tells the story. We pretty much did it, too. We were mentally not in it. A little bit of reaching, but it was mostly our post players who were fouling. They had a girl who they would post up. She wasn't a big girl or anything like that, but we seemed slow inside today.

Kate's a lot better shooter than that, and if we all hit a couple more it's a lot different game. Their girl kept hitting her shots, and it's hard to defend two big and athletic post players when you also have someone shooting from the outside.

We did a great job passing the ball into the post and I think that's what we're all about – just hit the open girl and play hard on defense. They're a real scrappy team, they play real hard. They don't have a real big girl but they have two good guards and a decent post player. I think we match up with them real well.

The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality. We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. It's a battle.
