 I think the day is all about starting with a new coach, a new era, a new time period. I'm ready to move on. What we want is more of those banners sitting up there (pointing to banners in the Assembly Hall). If he can bring that to us, that will be all we need.

 I look up at the banners in our gym almost every day at practice and we've been open as a school since the 1970s and to see six, now seven, (district) banners and to know the girls have five of those, that's pretty special.

 It's a very narrow, tall bridge and it wouldn't be safe to place those banners. And if the banners aren't secured, well, they could drift into traffic and cause an accident.

 But when it comes time to play, you have to be ready. Those (banners) are things from the past.

 We want the Buick Championship to be successful and they need those banners for their promotion just like we need our banners for our promotion.

 The number of banners we'll put up will depend on the number of sponsorships we receive. We'd like to put up about 50 to 60 banners.

 I get it ready for them to practice or have games. I hang the banners and just take care of things.

 There are two boys' banners in the gym. It's time to have one for the girls.

 Coach Helfer was recruiting another player on the team and he saw me play and he liked me. I wasn't sure at first, but I saw the banners (hanging in the gym) and the players looked pretty good, so I thought it would be nice to be here.

 The banners are one of the items we've talked about in planning for the celebration of our centennial this year. It's one of the ways we'll bring attention to our celebration.

 It's going to be intense. We were talking about banners the other day, me and Mike (Copeland, the fifth freshman) and Coach Holladay said, 'If you win your next three games, you get a ring.' That really does kind of put an emphasis on how big these next three games will be. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.

 Every day we look up and see those banners and it makes us want to put one of our own up there.

 The coach never promised me a starting position, but he did say that if I work hard enough, I'll see playing time. And maybe, in time, I could move up to a starting role.
