 We played hard early and, unfortunately, looked at the scoreboard and our intensity fell off. When you're only playing seven guys, sometimes you try to conserve energy, and that's my fault. I thought they definitely outplayed us as far as effort in the last 20 minutes.

 Any time you go on the road, especially when you've got an hour and a half bus ride, it's difficult. I thought we responded well to the bus ride, but made some little mistakes. They big played us at the beginning, then we were hanging tough with them. At the end, they just kind of wore us out. It's my fault. The boys gave a good effort. I've got to do a better job coaching as far as practice goes. I don't think we practiced very hard this week, and that's my fault.

 When I looked up and saw his face, I knew he thought he hadn't said it was good, ... It was my fault. That's the way it goes. He handled it real well.

 When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

 We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

 We have looked good in practice all week. We didn't look good tonight though. Our defense did look good on occasions tonight and had some big stops. Unfortunately we turned the ball over to many times.

 One win in the postseason, it feels like 10. I liked the way we looked tonight, and more importantly, we played hard. We gave great effort. We were playing at a high level, and that was good to see.

 I think Frank has looked as good as any of our kids have ever looked. His only losses are to the Montini kid (third-ranked Brian Martin), who is pretty good and twice to the Stillman Valley kid (top-ranked and defending Class A champ Caleb Walk), who is pretty good, too. It's taken some good kids to beat him.

 They came in with a fastball when it was 2-1 and I was really expecting it. It was something I should have drove. If I didn't, then it was my fault because it was right down the middle and looked like it was on a tee.
