en To be honest, I'm excited again to be head coach here at Illinois State. There was a time here when I'm not sure I could say I was excited. My tenure here has not been an easy one. I feel we've got new leadership in the department, we've got good direction in the program. I feel that we're going to get a little bit of traction here and really become productive.

en Hopefully, it's not the last time I (coach). It'll be the last time I do it at Indiana. Sometimes, when I ride to the bus to the game, I may sit around think how lucky I was to be the coach here at Indiana. This is a big-time program. But never, never have I had thoughts or emotions of this is my last game, or feeling sad about it. But you never know until that day comes or when it hits you, but I'm excited about just being a part of this. Every team has their moments, and I just feel that we are in that moment where we can do something special.

en I've never spoken to Coach Weber about Patrick. Big-time head coaches know they talk to the high school coach. This is why the top city kids are going outside the state. I'm not trying to belittle Illinois. My son goes there. I love Illinois.

en Ohio had a really strong senior class this year, and we're fortunate to sign a lot of the best players. I feel really good about these kids. I feel like I know them, know their character. I'm very excited to add these young men to our program.

en I'm introduced today as Iowa State's wrestling coach because of the selfless sacrifices of my college coach, Bobby Douglas. I promise to work as hard as I did as a competitor to build upon the traditions I've inherited as head coach. Iowa State University is a special place to our family. I'm humbled and excited at the same time about my opportunity.
