 Every game you lose is a missed opportunity, every one of them. At this point, we have 20-something games, and every single game is important, whether we're playing Tampa or playing Boston, Toronto or Baltimore.

 I don't think we're seeing colors in the other team's uniforms, ... We know each game is important whether it's Boston or Tampa. We need each game desperately, and we're playing that way.

 I took a couple of peeks up there. Nothing against Kansas City or Tampa Bay, but the way they are playing right now and from what I saw when they left here, I doubt they will lose another game. I don't expect Tampa Bay to do it. I think the best team to do it now is us.

 Every game is important for us. We have a big one tomorrow (against Boston) and we have the opportunity to play Philadelphia twice and gain two games on them. They're all big from here. We've got to treat each game as if its a playoff game.

 To me playing the game is what's most important. We don't have the luxury of playing four preseason games. We don't have the luxury of playing 16 games. We've got 11 games to get it done. Right now my focus, obviously, is that this is game week, and we're all excited about that.

 There are 23 games left. Every single game is important. We need to control the game better with our pitchers against Boston. Once they start scoring runs, they don't stop. You don't want to get in the habit of falling behind and having to catch up.

 [Damon didn't play in Boston's 6-5, 11-inning win over Toronto on Monday night. He has been playing with discomfort since injuring the shoulder on a slide against Baltimore on Sept. 4.] The report was as good as it could be, ... Structurally there is no damage. I think he bruised that area. He's got some swelling.

 We let a couple get away (this month) that were important. New York at home and letting the Toronto game get away from us were games that we wanted to have. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead. But winning at Boston was a big win for us. It was important to have a good road trip and then come home and play well.

 The whole point is to get people interested in playing games again. If you get them into the game aisle and a family enjoys playing a game, they'll return to the game aisle. It's reintroducing them to a play that's fun and everybody in the category benefits.

 The last 10 games we have really started to feel that urgency to win every single game. Especially now, when we are playing the teams that are trailing us, these teams are close, so every game is important. We knew we wanted this win and we believed in it and got it.

 You're used to bringing these kids in late and they're playing most of the game. For them it's a great opportunity. It's good for us, too. We get a chance to see them. These guys are playing full games. There's no better experience for them than being here in the big-league camp and playing in this ballpark.

 They hit enough. At that point you can't play trade-off. We've got to be outscoring them all the way through if we're going to be successful. If we could have cut that (lead) to single digits, that would have been the ideal because at that point they're going to start getting worried. And what you're always hoping a team will do (in that situation) is shift their mindset from playing to win to playing not to lose.

 We are running out of games. Randy is pitching and we are playing at home. We have to feel it's our game to lose. But nobody is giving it to us. It's hugely important.

 We could have won this game. But we missed more easy lay-ups than I could count. We missed all those critical free throws. When you are playing a top team like St. Joe's, you have to take advantage of every opportunity you get. We were not able to cash in on our chances.

 Remember, we lost two of our last three games, and that stopped us from getting to the NCAA. We're actually playing better, but (playing) on the road is a different case. Now we're playing game by game.
