 That lapse at the end of the third period cost us the game. You can't have lapses against a quality team on the road; you can't make mental mistakes and win this kind of game.

 They executed better than us. Mentally, toughness is what cost us today. Sometimes due to mental lapses in the game we just don't think and made poor errors and bad fundamentals.

 This is a tough loss for us. We played hard enough to win, if we had executed down the stretch. It's about mental lapses, and we had some mental lapses at crucial times.

 We just can't find the way to close out games in the final two minutes. Our effort was there again in the entire game, but our mental lapses on both ends of the floor cost us a good chance at a victory.

 It was a hard-fought game. A real battle the entire time. There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

 We had a few mental lapses and errors that cost us in the fifth and sixth innings, but we were able to get the win. As you can tell, we hit the ball really well.

 We make a lot of dumb mistakes. Just mental errors down the stretch. Turnovers. Just mental lapses that come back and get us. ... Giving somebody an open 3-pointer. Not being in the right place on a play.

 We did not play very focused and didn't execute on offense, defense or fast break. We started the game down 15-0 and fought back to tie the game in the third quarter at 33, but we let Sweeny go on a 16-0 run. We had too many mental breakdowns, and we need to win some games on the road to have a shot at doing something in district.

 It was tough to play defense for that long and have them down by that much, and for him to make that crazy shot like that, that just really got them going. From then on, they started coming back into the game. You could see everybody's head drop on the bench when the shot went it. It just started the story of the game.

 We practiced against their full-court pressure. We knew that if we got the ball to the middle we could break their press, but we had too many mental lapses in the first quarter and we couldn't get back in the game after that.

 We weren't doing anything to help each other on defense. I think we got tired. We had a few mental lapses here and there, and we lost confidence and momentum.

 Coming into the game, we knew they would put up numbers . Looking back on it, they were better than anybody else we played. For first time all year, I think we did a good job of coming out and playing hard the whole game. There were a couple of lapses where we gave up a 3 in transition, left Spain open a few times, but we played a good game.

 I think they played a very good game and totally brought it to us. On the other hand, we didn't help ourselves with dumb penalties and mistakes. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. . . . People were making a lot of mental lapses. And when you start first and 15, which we probably did three or four times, it's hard to make that ground up against a good defense like Carolina.

 I thought the game was about done. We had big doubts about coming back. Then the shots started falling, and we picked it up on defense.
