 I felt like we came out much more aggressive than we have been at the plate. We were swinging at first pitches in occasions and I thought our offense really started putting it together.  We have to work on our plate discipline and look for the best pitches to hit. Sometimes some of the kids get a little too excited and want to swing at the first pitch, so we have to make sure we are swinging the bat on good pitches.

 We're feeling good at the plate right now. A lot of guys are swinging it well and we've got a lot of guys that have a lot of confidence. We just started putting up a lot of runs. It's a lot of fun when you do that.

 What they showed me today was a great job of having discipline at the plate. They weren't swinging at pitches out of the zone.

 He's stepped up really good for us in that role. He's been really disciplined at the plate, not swinging at bad pitches. He's competing really well and he's always on base for us.

 I thought we started the game slowly. We showed a little trepidation in the first five minutes. Right now we are just trying to get better and play at the level of our ability. I thought we were unselfish on offense and aggressive without being reckless on defense.

 It felt good out there. I thought I was pretty consistent in the zone. I used all my pitches. I gave up a home run, but it was just poor execution. I just tried to be too aggressive.
