 Being a former teacher, I have to support a pay raise. I think it's overdue. I would like to see the state's school aid formula changed, but I don't think that's going to happen.

 The U has many buildings that need state support. But not all have the resources available to raise money the way the business school does.

 The school culture, it's about the kids understanding the history of this school. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. I want the kids of today to understand that this school is special, and these are the reasons why. I am a former social-studies teacher. When you're a teacher, you're always a teacher. This is a way to extend my classroom teaching into an administration.

 In our school of 600 children, we have a full-time music teacher, full-time gym teacher and physical education teacher, a full-time computer teacher and a full-time Spanish teacher, therefore, it only makes sense if our children's self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in their grammar school years, that we also have a full-time African-American studies teacher.

 There is a definite need to increase the minimum wage in Pennsylvania. I was hoping the state would raise the wage to $7.15 right away, instead of waiting two years, that is my only criticism. This is definitely long overdue.

 If I wasn't an actor, I'd be a teacher, a history teacher. After all, teaching is very much like performing. A teacher is an actor, in a way. It takes a great deal to get, and hold, a class. I thought that, perhaps, when I'm in my 50s, I'll be a history teacher. That still might happen.

 While the state provides a critical base of support for the Medical School, this gift will allow us to do more with what the state contributes. It is not a replacement, but an enhancement that will further strengthen the breadth and depth of the Medical School's programs.

 We think it's a very good way for the state to raise money for the school construction program. It's being done in at least 12 states now. There's not been any issues with it and it's a logical course for the state to pursue.

 I don't think Americans embrace Formula One like every other country embraces Formula One. You really don't get the support like a driver from, say, Germany would. It's a lot more difficult for sure.

I saw him two weeks ago at a middle school wrestling tournament. If there was an athletic event at that school, he was there.

 It is an interesting case. It's interesting because a judge has to consider the fact that this is a state that's suing. It's not a school district. It's not a teacher's union. It's the state of Connecticut. So that adds a lot more gravity to the lawsuit.

 It's changed the level, depth and breadth of conversation. It allows a different relationship between parent and teacher and teacher and student .€.€. .It helps you ask better questions.

 Once my mom became a teacher, I saw the importance of education. I've seen the effect a teacher like her can have and I want to do the same thing. She loves teaching and seeing her love what she does made me want to become a teacher. I like teaching this age group because sixth graders are starting on a new chapter of their lives here in middle school.

 This is a very odd case for us, because even though we have one of the largest school systems in the state, we don't have a lot of teacher (or) educator fraternization.

 The state of our state is far from sound. The state of our state needs serious attention. The foundation is still firm, but major repairs are overdue.
