 Being consistently good is so important for a football team. Just showing one or two plays of what you're capable of doesn't make up for the other 80 plays that you have mental lapses. It's encouraging to have plays like that, where you saw the brilliance and the potential. But if we can't do that every play it really doesn't matter.

 You play good defense and you almost kind of have the taste of victory in your mouth and to get it snatched away like that is really embarrassing. That's not the way that I play football. That's not the way the defense plays football, and as a team that's not the way we should be playing football.

 The Big Ten is probably too strong. College football has a certain amount of variability when it comes to who plays for the national championship, but if you look at the Big Ten and the quality of football, it is as good as it has ever been. The trouble is, you show up every week, and it's tough.
