 [The Chiefs may have gotten some good news at wide receiver when Johnnie Morton made it through practice Monday.] I don't know if we'll go ahead and start [Morton], ... But he certainly will be in the thick of the game.

 I don't know when Johnnie Morton hasn't been a No. 1. He's started almost every game he's ever played. Now, he's not Isaac Bruce, in that style of receiver. But he's a fine receiver, and you can move the chains with him. He'll make some big plays.

 Morton know this is their second-last chance to beat us, and they'll also know they have to win the game. In the last two games though, we have proved to be better players than Morton, so hopefully that is the case once again.

 Morton's has been dealing with the same butchers for 25 years. All of the steaks are hand-cut so we can offer a consistent quality product. If you go somewhere else, you can look at six filets and they are different shapes and sizes. Not ours. Our filets and New York Strip are only center cut so you won't get a tail end. And they are the highest grade of prime. Morton's has never compromised quality.

 He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others.

 He didn't tell me I would be playing until right after school. All the Morton kids here were yelling at me, saying I came back a game too early.

 [Morton's] a playmaker, ... He's a guy that's done it in the past.

 We started him out as a wide receiver. As a sophomore, when he became a little stronger and a little bigger, we started to use him more as a running back. Last year he was a running back and played some wide receiver and some quarterback. We tried to use him each and every way we could. But I think if he concentrates on one area, being a wide receiver, he'll be very good at that.

 He (Floyd) said he had some discussions with Morton and wasn't able to get anywhere.

 I thought Rob made a couple good catches. He's had his moments in practice. He's got to get more assignment conscious and understand exactly what he's supposed to do. He doesn't have all the assignments down yet as a wide receiver. But he's made progress. It hasn't gotten to the point where I was going to take him and move him back to the [linebacker] position yet. So he's holding his own there. He's just got to keep working. A big body like that, if he works really hard, he'll have a chance.

 We had somebody on Morton from one end of the floor to the other. I just told them, 'Don't let her walk. Make her run.' I didn't care if she got baskets, as long as she had to run to do it. And I don't think she had the legs for shots or foul shots by the end of the game.

 This is the way to toughen the team and make them better. Morton has a good team that will get better every week because they are well coached.

 My guys just didn't show up tonight, they only came to watch Morton.

 [Before the game, the veteran Morton pulled Ponder aside, promising his young teammate that great things were in store.] He said, 'We're going to do something never done in Giants' history. You're going to score and I'm going to score,'Ÿ ... And we did it.

 As a visiting player, ... you see the hotel, the Morton's and the rink. But it's really a cool place.

 We've got to push the ball up more. We got away from that against Morton. They threw a token press at us and it slowed us down.
