 The neurosis of all this ageism is that Harrison Ford, Eastwood, Redford, Newman, etc., etc., have been playing heartthrobs until they need more filters than a pack of Camels. And their girlfriends are in their 20s. But being a Movie Star changes all the rules.

 Val Kilmer does a great job in his films. Harrison Ford and Arnold Schwarzenegger are great. Robert Redford and Paul Newman are amazing.

 He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. Harrison Ford was pretty content as a carpenter who thought it would be nice to work on TV and ended up being the biggest film star in the history of cinema.

 It is hard to believe sometimes that after only three seasons, we have been able to accomplish everything that we have done with Newman/Haas Racing. But once you get around these guys, you see why they are so good. From Paul (Newman) and Carl (Haas), their passion just filters through the entire organization and everyone picks up on that and feeds on it. It is a pleasure to work with these guys every day.

 I had to physically convince the audience that he could fly but, just as important, I had to convince the audience that that man who was playing that role could fly. And I could not believe that Redford or Newman or any of those well-known actors in that role, in blue leotards and a red cape, flying.

 Aaron's the guy you follow into battle. He's broad, he's got a strong chin ? a man's-man kind of persona. Very few actors ... can say subversive things and come off charming. Robert Redford and Paul Newman were guys who could do that.

 Ageism is the form of prejudice experienced most commonly by people in the UK and that seems to be true pretty much across gender, ethnicity, religion, disability - people of all types experience ageism, and indeed people of all ages experience ageism.

 [For an actor who was then living in New York, Daniels said, working on a Woody Allen movie was something to strive for, like] doing a Clint Eastwood movie and getting shot, ... Blood Work.

 As a guitar player, he was exemplary, ... So many musicians talked about how they wanted the George Harrison sound. The group the Byrds, in America, listened to Harrison and said, 'I want to be like that.' So many guitar players today emulate Harrison's guitar playing. You listen to his playing in the '60s, he doesn't sound out of date at all. It is as contemporary today as it was then.

 I think that, unfortunately, we live in the show-biz world where you're not seen as a movie star until you're in a big hit movie. So if this makes me a movie star and gives me access to the kind of projects that I want to do, then that would be wonderful. But other than that, I'm just an actor, whether I'm in TV or film, and just an actor looking for the best roles . . .

 Everyone from Gregory Peck to Paul Newman has lost children to suicide. But Michael J. Fox, the fact that he had Parkinson's for six or eight years -- Parkinson's! Nobody inflicts Parkinson's on themselves, so what was the big deal about him coming out? Because it would hurt his star credibility, and nobody would want to put him in a movie because of the risk liability.

 Of course, in today's society, tax money is great; it's revenue that benefits Redford Township. I think it's early to say housing or park. Redford Township now is dealing with the Catholic Central site, and there are approximately 400 new units. ... South Redford needs to weigh their options about what they need to do. The Catholic Central subdivision is only one mile from the Gibson School. They need to see how they're selling, if there's a glut in the market.

 The entertainment media is changing. The currency a movie star had was the ability to put people in the seats. They command enormous salaries. But simply having a star in a movie isn't enough. Young audiences don't have the same loyalties and interests that previous generations have. That's why there is so much panic in the industry.

 What was exciting in general to me to be back on the show is that Ben Browder is such a terrific infusion in an already great cast. He's very cool. They let me watch a rough cut of their season opener. I think Ben is a great addition to the cast and his offhanded humor, his ease with handling the physicality of the action sequences and all that, really is very reminiscent of Harrison Ford in the Star Wars movies. He's really, I think, going to be a boost to a show that is already a success.

 Well certainly the Star was (pun-intended) Star Wars . With three in the top 10 titles for the year, this movie-based property saw very strong sales. That said, other movie-based games fared less well.
