 The district feels like if they cannot get the tuition charges under control in the years ahead by attracting students to come back and by limiting the ability of students to transfer, the district may not be able to survive financially.

 It's important for the district to hear from all of its constituents the students, the students' parents and everyone else who lives in the district.

 The students will be doing more of the work. In the flight last year, students were doing the support, and the experts came in. This is going to be more of a Kansas State University at Salina project.

 Every school district has training in place for bus drivers. Every school district has guidelines for safety on buses. The coaches take care of the kids, and the drivers take care of the road. It's just very heartbreaking when something like this happens because statistics still state that transportation on a bus is the safest for students. Our hearts go out to their families.

 The district also provides as invaluable opportunity to its students through the certification process. Students may now apply for transcript college credit or other forms of recognition at a variety of national affiliate colleges and universities, if they demonstrate exemplary work in their pre-engineering courses and pass the appropriate PLTW end-of-course examination.

 Now, large subdivisions are being built. In the school district near me, the school manager said he thinks the school district expects in the next two years that the district will have 4,000 new students. That didn't happen 50 years ago, you didn't even get 200 new students then.

 You can sit in the office all day long and get the work done, but what this district needs is someone who's out at the schools, out in the community and really knows the students.

 Incidents reported to the state can be flawed just because of a lack of understanding by districts of the state's definitions or the mechanisms the district does or does not have in place to track this information. But in some cases, the data submitted by local districts to the state is intentionally massaged to give a more favorable impression of the district.

 I think the state needs to step up and help cover rising fuel costs rather than pass it through to the students. We're already seeing declining enrollment (across the state). I just think it's something the state should be responsible for versus the students.

 A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

 I think word of mouth is our best advertising. I keep telling those students who are enjoying tailgating to bring their friends. A true 49er fan Alexis Hernandez has been hard at work trying to come up with another draw to tailgating and has gotten Red Bull to agree to come out and hand out free samples at the next tailgate. I am always open to ideas of what will encourage more students to come out.
