We will start an investigation by interviewing them and checking for any evidence. We would heighten our patrol in that area whether it be by car or by foot and that is what we have done is this past particular instance.

 Monday night will be a little different. We're doing something called traffic pacing. It's a rolling roadblock. We'll use off duty police officers. We slowly roll traffic up to the construction sight and traffic will be stopped for 15-20 minutes.

 The witness lived across the street from the accident, heard the accident occur, ran to the scene and was able to help three of the four patients get out of the vehicle.

 I made a bad choice, leaving the scene of an accident. It was an accident. From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry. If I could bring him back, I would.

 You find an offender, and there are officers who actually go to the scene and leave the scene? That is outrageous.

 It was obvious when they walked in that the man had died. The scene, the blood evidence at the scene, the condition of the home inside, led officers to believe that we should handle this as a homicide investigation.  Shaun has a chronic, deep tendonitis injury caused by over-use and is taking a little bit longer to respond to treatment which is not uncommon with these types of injuries.

 I am proud of the officers in all the affected areas. An incident of this magnitude means that they are going without sleep and are unable to be with their own families as they strive to save the lives of others. When a citizen calls for help, an officer will respond. Our officers have called for help now, and we will not let them down.

 Police officers should be considering is it worth the risk of an accident or the risk of human life for the type of crime I'm pursuing. In the Lewis case, the officers just wanted to talk to two juveniles riding on a motorcycle.
