I think we're pretty gezegde

 I think we're pretty much a different team because we have more of an identity now. Guys are becoming more comfortable with their roles and things are beginning to jell for us. If we stick together, I think we're going to be able to do some special things.

 A lot of guys are stepping up, a lot of things are happening for us that are good. Everybody's stepping in and playing their roles, so all we think about is winning right now. We're starting to jell a little bit.

 I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

 We got things going in the second half (of the season). We knew coming in we had the talent. It was the matter of guys accepting new roles. These guys had minimal roles in the past. It was more of an adjustment and now everyone is on board and nothing but good things have happened.

 We're a team that still doesn't have an identity. They have an identity. They've got roles and their role guys really did a good job tonight.

 We couldn't be where we are had we not gotten those guys. There's so many little ways, detail things, things that don't show up on stat sheets. You need your stars. But their roles are very significant for our team.

 Once we get some things ironed out and guys start getting a little more comfortable, things will turn around. We're the kind of team that it's going to take a little bit of time to build it.  It was a great day for me, but I'm definitely sorry about what happened to Alex. You always hate it when these things happen, and he's just ended up in the wrong place a couple of times this year. For me, it was very fun racing today. Things were a bit crazy at the beginning, but the guys calmed down and made the car a lot of fun to drive. This was by far my best race on one of these fast ovals. It was the first time that we were able to stick with the leaders, but it's not going to be the last.

 I remember coming up. I came up in May first and then I came back up in September. A lot of times, you're a little skeptical to say things and do things because you're around some different guys. So I always try to go out of my way to make sure everyone feels comfortable. You want everyone to feel a part of the team.

 The biggest thing is the willingness for everyone to buy in and do their roles. One of the special things about this team is it's not about me, it's not about Eric Staal, it's about the team. If I can do my role and be great in my role - and be productive - it makes our team better.

 We do a lot more things than other teams. We do more calls and reads, so I think by Sunday the guys were just feeling more comfortable. One of the things in rugby is that if you're the better team, you'll wear your opponent down. I think we were fitter and smarter and that slowly paid off.

 We're not exaggerating at all, it's definitely a different feeling. It's a little more comfortable. Things were more intense last year. Guys seem more comfortable about what they're doing on a day-to-day basis. It's a more relaxed atmosphere. It makes things easier to operate.

 We all knew some things would change during the course of the season, but this was pretty big. This was a lot. To have people that didn't start with us playing such critical roles now tells you a lot. They're right in the middle of it. We've done a lot of things and it's pretty clear that we wouldn't be standing where we are right now if it wasn't for all those moves.

 To do special things you need have special players and special performances. Obviously you saw one tonight from Chris Lofton. We did a pretty good job of getting him open and guys did a pretty good job of turning shots down to get him shots because he (Lofton) clearly had a pretty good chance of making what he put up.

 Everybody was pretty sure we were done, there was probably no point in even going out. We really do believe in ourselves. A couple of years ago this was not a playoff team. We weren't even on the road map, then all of a sudden we are Stanley Cup champions. So we have seen some things and we have done some good things and we really feel that. We just need to get that monkey off our back with these guys. It's been tough against these guys in the last little while. That's a huge win for us.
