 I wouldn't say Aptos punched us in the month. We just didn't do a very good job of taking care of the ball. And we didn't tackle well on defense. Let me take it a step further. We didn't tackle, period.

 Overall, we didn't play as consistently as we could have. We put together some great combinations and really moved the ball around well, [but] we didn't sustain enough of that. I think the bottom line is, we had two or three chances that didn't go our way. It was a very exciting game; anybody could have won that one. So, it's a really tough loss because it could have been a tie.

 We simply couldn't move the ball at all. We didn't have a first down in the first half, and we only had one until the last couple of minutes. That's not going to get it done, and we have to find a way to get it done. You can make any excuses that you want, but what we did today was not acceptable.  We didn't tackle and we didn't gap fit. Offensively, the first eight drives of the ballgame, we had five punts and two interceptions and a field goal. That doesn't get it done. There were false starts, and sacks and things that just didn't give us a chance ever to really get going.

 We didn't play very well on offense, defense and special teams. We didn't tackle, we didn't block, we didn't cover, we didn't punt. The fortunate thing is it doesn't count.

 I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

 One of the reasons we didn't turn the ball over a lot is we made good decisions last year and we didn't make a lot of dangerous throws, where you would have said, 'Oh, that was lucky it didn't get intercepted. Today, we probably had a few too many of those.

 We just didn't get in sync offensively. You can make all the excuses in the world about the conditions, but the bottom line is that we didn't do enough to win.
