I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help this team win games, ... I try to prepare myself all week so I don't have to think about injuries.

I think it will definitely help us to prepare for the district tournament. It's a little strange not knowing what team you're going to play until about a week before the games start, so that takes a little time out of preparing.

It takes 15-20 games to get back to the form where you would be at midseason. Last week was my training camp, basically. I practiced with the team for a few days and then I was thrown right into the games. So I'm in my third week of the season, really. I'm feeling better and better every day.

It's tough but you learn that when you sit in this seat, ... Every day you come into work, there's five things you put on your desk that you don't really like but you have to deal with. They don't cancel your games, they don't allow you to get a bye. We have to prepare our team this week.

Injuries are going to happen week in and week out in the NFL; it's how your depth responds to that. You see some teams that are demoralized by injuries. Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

It's great, but I don't feel anything other than this is what I expected. I thought last summer we were a playoff team, we could win 45 games if we could avoid the injuries. We did it with the injuries. From that standpoint, I'm more pleased.

The past three years we played ASU first, and we always prepared for ASU during the week; we would never prepare for Arizona until after the game. That's how it is on all road trips. You prepare for the team you are going to play Thursday.

Going into the Georgia game, there was a serious weakness, and that was the offense, so we did some things to, obviously, become more functional. FSU, we tried to get guys healthy and we can also work on our weaknesses, and we had a lot of discussion about how to prepare for games, because I really felt we failed as coaches and the leadership of our team did a poor job because the week before (a loss to South Carolina) was a bad deal.

Yeah, it's tough to come back in a few days and play another very good team, but we have to prepare for that type of thing in the postseason. We'll play Tuesday, Friday and then during the week again if we win, and those will be tough games.
