 We're letting a couple plays hurt us. Brad Miller hit a contested 3. We can't put our heads down. We have to go out there and win a game. After we've lost this year, we usually run off a few. We found different ways to lose every night.

 We have to play better. If we think we're a good defense, we better start showing it. We didn't make plays when we had to. We gave up a couple of big plays. We had a chance to win the game. We were in the game the whole time and found a way to lose at the end.

 They lost some guys and made some defensive plays that we were able to take advantage of. You win in all different ways and you lose in all different ways. There is no blueprint on how you win or lose.

 You lose a guy like that who, even though he hasn't been 100 percent every game, has found ways to make plays most games. It was a big deal not to have him, but we're confident we'll have him Saturday.

 He was making nice plays, good-looking plays. Brad Miller just ended up shaking his head.

 We had a nice little streak, but it's not that we lost it, it's the way we lost it. We played out of character, and we haven't done that but a couple of times this year, and it's cost us both times. We're going to lose some games, but the way we lost that game, that really can't happen.

 We had a chance down the stretch. Unfortunately we had a critical turnover, so we didn't give ourselves a chance to shoot the basketball. (Brad) Miller hit a couple big shots for them and after that it's the end of the game.

 Anthony started to play better and better the last few weeks, ... I guess a big man who plays both ways has to take a few plays off, but those have gradually decreased each week. He pushed himself more in the preseason than any other year. He actually spent the night before the Neshoba (Central) game in the hospital because he'd gotten dehydrated.

 I know they're not OK with it. I wanted them to keep their heads up. There's no need to apologize for anything. We lost the football game and we lost it because of the reasons you lose most games ... mistakes.

 We just let a couple big plays in the passing game hurt us. You can't do that. You have to keep your people in front of you. We didn't do that, and it hurt us.

 This is what we did last year. We found a way to win. Earlier in the year, we found ways to lose these type of games. Maybe this is a turning point, and we will win some of these games.

 We didn't play well, but the good news is we made the big plays at the end when we had to. Poor teams find ways to lose games and we found a way to win it.

 I have chest pains after every bad game. Nothing has changed. I feel bad when we lose and this has been a year when we've lost a lot so it's not something that's fun. But Lisa just thought I need to get checked before I got on the plane (Wednesday night).

 In some ways this game felt the game at our place only in reverse. We kind of had the game won a couple different times in Nashville and somehow found a way to not to finish the job. It seemed like they had this one a couple times.

 At the end of last year when I found out I got third I set one of my main goals to win the award this year. I wasn't even expecting that last year and was cool about it because there was Cookie Miller and Adam Fletcher who were great players and averaged like 25 points per game. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure.
