 One of the worst fears that a coach has is to take a kid away from their family and not be able to bring them home. When an accident happens and a student loses their life, it's tough on the whole community.

 Monroe basketball is here. Some of these kids are young and this is a great experience. We may not win all the time, but we'll compete. We didn't bring home a trophy, but these kids will bring home so much more. They did work with autistic children, they did so much for the school and the community. . . .  I think I'll miss my family and friends, but I'm really excited.  I love my life right now. I am back performing and I have a family. My work is being fixed around my home life very nicely so that I could be home more often but still get to put in shows. My daughter has a birthday coming up pretty soon and I am going to be home to celebrate with my baby.

 There are millions of young African Americans around the country who want to get an education, raise a family, and be successful in the business world, but they need some guidance on critical issues such as how to pay for student loans, manage their finances, or buy a home. We as a community must communicate with young adults so they can be armed with the information they'll need to make solid decisions that will allow them to get a good education, save money, and raise a family in the complicated world we live in today.

 It's the worst day of any parent's life when they get that visit from a guy in uniform talking about their kid. For our family it has been life-altering. But more than that you find out that the bravery with which these kids faced the enemy in Iraq is really doubled or more by the bravery that they show while recovering from their injuries. Our family is one of the lucky ones. Our son is alive.

 We've seen such terrific growth in property values that it's very hard for a person starting out to get a home - and I feel that home ownership is probably the single most important thing in keeping a family together. If you look at economic stability for a family, and being part of a community, home ownership is the number one thing that we should address.

 I made a decision to bring our troops home a few days early in order to spare the life of Angelo. I do not regret the decision. Every life is important. Angelo's was spared and we rejoice. We're all rewarded for it, particularly his loving family and friends,
