Justice is the hardest gezegde

Justice is the hardest precept for the individual physician to deal with. It asks how to best allocate resources fairly so that patients with similar situations get treated the same way.

I think it's best not to rely on an individual physician. Individual doctors have their specialties, their biases, their preferences for certain kinds of treatment and getting multiple opinions is the only way you can create a sense of trust in that particular course of action. It's a ways of checking and balancing the subjectivity or the prejudices of an individual physician.

If a physician has higher costs than the revenue they bring in, it may be a blessing if they move their patients to our competitor.
