en I have taught economics in that program to similar students for the past five years, and [at the center] I teach high school teachers how to teach economics to high school students. Many are from minority, immigrant backgrounds, and it's very useful to have this skill.

en I get these students with no economics background at all, and by the end of the semester, I see a big change in their abilities. They soak everything up, and understand how business works, how the government works, and how economics [in general] works.

en The suburban schools have traditionally done better than the city schools, and I believe that's due to economics, plus, in the city schools we water each other down. We're fragmented, but in the suburbs you have one high school that everybody goes to.

en The program is all about the empowerment of teachers. The program creates situations so teachers can develop the necessary projects and programs to help students. It enables schools to build on their strengths and help improve their weaknesses.

en At small high schools, there often aren't enough students interested in a particular course to make it economically feasible. As it stands now, the CIM is not meaningful for all students.

en History shows that where ethics and economics come in conflict, victory is always with economics. Vested interests have never been known to have willingly divested themselves unless there was sufficient force to compel them.

en There's a very hot job market in Alberta and some people – boat owners, crew and all – packed up lock, stock and barrel, because the economics for staying didn't match up against the economics for going.

en The economics here are such that Bolivia can improve its revenue stream by increasing its taxes, royalties and by taking over ownership. But for these companies, it's barely going to make a difference in their economics.

en The animals that depend on instinct have an inherent knowledge of the laws of economics and of how to apply them; Man, with his powers of reason, has reduced economics to the level of a farce which is at once funnier and more tragic than Tobacco Road.
