 To win 10 games, to be one of just seven teams that's done that here, it's great. We wanted to bring this program back.

 This was huge. This really puts an exclamation point on what we did this year and we're trying to bring respect back to this program. To win 10 games and being one of seven teams to do it in the history of this school is leaving our mark.

 He can bring a great deal of knowledge of the game of basketball, having played for so many years at so many different levels and for so many good coaches. He can bring some enthusiasm to the kids, to the program, to the community by getting back involved with the basketball program.

 We just played three teams I consider to be Top 10 teams and, right now, we're not a Top 10 team. It's sad we have to play great teams back-to-back ... that's not the right way. Nobody else has to do that, play back-to-back Saturday and Monday games two weeks in a row with three of four on the road. That's too much to ask.

 I think the sidewalk program, I think we need to bring that back. I think that was a good idea. If we could find the money to do that again, we need to bring that program back. It's part of the infrastructure of this city. It makes it look better and you see a lot of people doing a lot more walking because of it.

 This is their program and I wanted to get them involved in every aspect of it. We offer other drawing and painting classes and an arts program and I wanted to try and bring it all together. I thought this was a good avenue.

 I always wanted to come back and play here, and it was great for me. Certain teams are out there that you get extra pumped for, and (the Lakers) are one of those teams.

 This one didn't have much intensity. It was two teams playing back-to-back games against each other, and nobody wanted to get hurt. It might have been exciting for the fans, but not for the coaches.

 It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.  These two games will obviously be a great challenge for our football team. They (Mountaineers) are definitely one of the top three teams in the country. It's a great opportunity to travel across the country and, financially, it will help our program in a much-needed way.

 I think this year more than ever has proven there are teams that might not get in or just barely get in that can win games. In the past, years ago, I think there were always teams that maybe wanted to get in, but you really knew they couldn't win any games in the tournament if they got in.

 This is kind of what I wanted. You get three or four games right away. You get to compete and get some games in and get some experience. They are not gimme games, these are games that we could lose as well. All three of these teams made districts last year.

 It's good to go back and look at what other states are doing. For example, Mayo Clinics and the University of Minnesota had a collaborative grant program that we modeled our program after, so we went back to talk to them about the successes of their program. It's been very successful, the state is going back to fund it again, and it's resulted in a great deal of collaboration and specifically patented technology.

 Good teams can come back from that. You can look back in history. You can look back at this year. Good teams that get down by 15 or so, they're still able to come back. Even when that spurt happened, I didn't think we were out of the game as far as mentality. We just couldn't overcome it. We just have to grow as a program.

 We wanted to give other teams another look. Teams also come into games focusing on Patrick. We wanted to see what they could do without him in the game.
