 It's a tremendous venue. I was telling Chandler there's nothing I can say or do that can prepare you for coming out of the bullpen there that first time, looking up and seeing 10,000 fans.

 Playing in that venue for the first time, you're only human if you're a little bit in awe. It's a tremendous venue and the kids are excited just to be there.

 I think our bullpen is one of the better bullpens in the nation. Instead of just having guys in the bullpen, we actually have an idea of what innings we're going to throw, so we can prepare better and get stretched out.

 All kinds of candidates have been coming here telling you what they are going to do...until it comes time to pay for it, ... It's time for a little bit of truth-telling at every level of government.

 We try to connect with people as much as we can. We love our fans. We would be just five guys jamming in a barn or whatever venue without the fans.

 In Tennessee, it's a non-traditional sport. The casual fans are coming and saying, 'You know what? I've never had so much fun at a sporting event.' And now they're coming back. That's how you build a base for any sport. That's how you get fans to come to the games - they've got to have a good time.

 Sometimes we have to re-route the way we go out of the venue, ... It's really something that you can't get use to. Seriously, sometimes you have fans that are real cool and collected and say `I love your work.' Sometimes it's `AAAHHHH!!!!' It's a shock every time.

 Every time we have a whole lot of fans here, we win. It's a trend. We love the fans, we appreciate the fans we want them to keep coming out.

 I've never been a bullpen guy. I'm fighting to make the staff. If [the bullpen] is what I'm fighting for, I hope they tell me, so I can prepare.

 This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

 Certainly with the new venue, downtown stadium and new team, I think there will be some early interest and excitement for baseball, which is always healthy. I'm sure the Drive will go through periods of time when they'll be looking for fans.

 They have helped the younger guys on the team prepare for what's in store for them from the fans in the east side bleachers, ... We know that those fans will be giving it to us all night long, then ask for your autograph after the game. But we need to keep our heads in the game. We didn't do that last time, and that hurt us.

 I don't believe anybody's looking at this as any kind of referendum. We've been in Louisiana for 38 years. We've got tremendous fans and have had tremendous support from our fan base. We understand we're in some unusual and difficult times and all we can ask of our fans is to continue to support us.
