 I want to play but I'm not going to do anything to hurt the team, ... I'm not going to go out there and not be in good enough condition to play or not going to go out there and still be hurt and play. I'm just going to hurt the team if I did that.

 Apparently he hurt the foot the same play as he hurt the knee; he showed a lot of toughness going back and playing on it. He was obviously disappointed because he wanted to get out there and play, and we'd have liked to seen that as well.

 Obviously you never prepare for just one person, but when you play a team like Hopewell that has so many weapons, it makes things that much more difficult, ... They can hurt you in a variety of ways. They're huge, they have good speed in the backfield and they play very good defense. Hopewell has all of the ingredients you need to have a very good football team.

 They are well organized and base their game on being tight together then making sure they can hit you on the break. They are a good team, play good football and, if you let them play, they can really hurt you.

 It hurt real bad, but once we realized there was nothing we could do about it, then it was time to go play another game. It went from hurt to being ready to play.

 I'll never play a guy and hurt him. I already talked to [team medical director] Tom Gill this morning. He thinks he can play [Sunday]. He was actually pretty upbeat about him being available today. I don't know if we'll do that, but that's good news.

 It's going to be a big challenge for us to play against South. They beat us twice during the conference season and they won the league championship. They've got a talented team and a lot of guys who can hurt you. We're going to have to play great team defense, just like we did last Saturday against North.

 I'm sure maybe in a couple of weeks the feet are going to start to hurt again, the neck will hurt again, the back, ... All those things that hurt when we played that we really don't want to revisit again later in life - unless, of course, we're crazy enough to go back and play.

 We're not in as good of shape as we need to be. It's the end of the season and everything you do is a matter of playing through the pain and getting the job done. Whether we're hurt or not, we have to forget we're hurt and play as hard as we can.
