 It's your goal starting out to make the playoffs. I didn't see not making the playoffs, no, I didn't, not at all. First, I didn't see the trade (with Boston) coming. I didn't see going into the development direction. But again, you've got to be ready for that and flexible for that as an organization being on the same page.

 When we started this year we had a goal of winning the World Series. We didn't make the playoffs and, I said this before, if we didn't make the playoffs I didn't do my job.

 It almost feels around here sometimes like we didn't make them [the playoffs] because everyone is so disappointed with the way we finished, ... I still say it's an accomplishment to make the playoffs in the NHL, but we're not sitting here saying we are satisfied. But there are 14 other teams that battled down to the wire and didn't make it who probably wish they were in our position. We have something to build on. We have the same group of forwards, the goaltending is the same, three or four D, the same coaching staff, so hopefully we can build on that.

 We just didn't take care of business. The last two games we had an opportunity to make the playoffs on our own account, but as a group no one got it done. We didn't deserve to go.

 Our goal to start the season was to make the playoffs, and we didn't. And that's a disappointment. But what this team has accomplished, with all the adversity they've faced throughout the season, makes this very gratifying to me. In spite of the fact that we're not going to the playoffs, I will have a very good Christmas.

 I think statements are made in the playoffs and we're far away from that. We still want to improve and get ready for the playoffs. We didn't win anything the last two nights. Our work is far from over.

 We didn't come with any excitement in the first half. The goal is to win 50 is still attainable. The big thing is for us to get better and get ready for the playoffs.

 It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. We didn't do anything right tonight.

 They didn't play a lot of players, well they played very short minutes to get ready for the playoffs. Jersey is going to the playoffs and we are going home for the summer.

 It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were halfway ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the (Little Rock) Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. Didn't nothing go right.

 We were like a bouncing ball. We didn't really have any direction or management. We were trying to be organized from within. We didn't have anyone saying 'keep going with this' or anyone that was out promoting us with any effect. We were doing it ourselves and we were not getting anywhere. Trying to make our own little singles and what else can you do? It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. We didn't have any kind of patrons.

 They buried their chances and we didn't. We hit a post, a crossbar, and had a goal called back. Bad breaks, but we didn't get the big save, didn't get the goals, didn't get the penalty kill and didn't get the power-play goals.

 We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.

 We didn't make the playoffs. We definitely did a better job this year, but we still didn't make the playoffs.
