It's classic oldschool defensive gezegde

It's classic, old-school, defensive football. I think it's just a matter of playing together, knowing the scheme and getting comfortable with the scheme. It's like being in your house for a long time.

It's just a matter of him getting used to what we're doing. I'm not sure we're there quite yet. I'm going to talk with the defensive coaches in my meeting this afternoon with them and just see where we feel he is. He's a guy that hasn't really gone through preseason and has not been in the scheme per se, as a player physically worked into the scheme. So, obviously, we have a little concern there.

Defensively, I think we have a long ways to go, obviously. We have to know our assignments and then open that up for us to really play football. We're really focused on what we need to do. We have a long ways to go with this new scheme. It takes a while to not only know the scheme, but to play it well. There are so many little things you have to know. We're learning a lot each day and we're definitely getting better. But learning a new scheme definitely takes time.

I'm very comfortable with that regardless of who's out there. If they can get to know the game plan, get to know their defensive scheme, they can predict what they're going to do, so I feel comfortable with that.

They break down everything, ... They go over the nuances, little things: Why are we playing this defense in the big scheme of things, not just as it relates to defensive linemen? Where does the safety fit? Why are we playing it on first down? Why are we going to this coverage? Where is your support on a double-team? So we know what to do no matter what happens. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. They break down everything, ...  He belongs. That's the important thing. A lot of times, there are a lot of good football players, and a lot of those guys aren't the Reggie Bushes of the world. But they are very good football players where it's going to come down to how they fit your scheme. Once they fit your scheme and you find a place for them, then let him go out and flourish.

I'm still learning. Everything's going real well. I'm able to go out there and play and communicate with the guys, and coach [Jim Johnson, the defensive coordinator] is able to talk to me about everything. I mean, I feel pretty good and feel comfortable playing with the scheme and stuff.

We have a system that we are attacking the defensive scheme with. I think you would shortchange yourself if you weren't attacking that scheme. We're fully cognizant with what he can and cannot do. I don't know if there's much he can't do.

He was a pretty good corner in Miami in the scheme that they had. I think the scheme that Kansas City plays right now doesn't suit him. He was playing more off [Sunday]. Usually in Miami, he was playing more 'press.' I just think he was all out of whack.

I think we're relying too much on scheme, ... Sometimes as coaches - defensively, let's say, as an example - I think our guys are relying too much on scheme. They think the scheme is going to stop it. It's man against man. Hopefully, two games are enough for us to figure it out.

So far, it's been really great for us, because while they kept a lot of the (defensive) terminology the same, it's a different scheme with a lot of different ideas. I'm really enjoying it. We're getting a lot more comfortable now and we're able to rise up and play a little faster.

I think that they'll still play in our scheme because they have to play in the scheme. When they don't play in the scheme, you get situations like we got on Thanksgiving Day - different people at different times freelancing to some degree. And when everything goes bad, as it did on that day, the other team seems to find those breakdowns.

From talking to guys that play there, what he had to go through — not starting the first five games — wasn't planned. He's more of a professional now. He studies and plays within the scheme. I've always said, even when I played there, if we could ever get this guy to play within the scheme, and be a professional, he probably could be the most dangerous defensive player in the league.

They had a nice scheme going. It was to be physical with me at the line, not let me get into my route. I was still getting into my routes, having a good time. I love playing the game of football, but we just didn't do enough to win.

When we drafted Mike we were in a different scheme. We were the antithesis of what we are now. Now is that to exonerate him not playing because of the scheme? No. Part of it, he needed to get better at certain things, but he didn't. He's got the tools. We got into the third year and we didn't see a big advance.
