Our guards shot the ball pretty well tonight and I think they carried us, with Shawn being out of the starting lineup we had other guys step in.

Overall we're starting to do some good things. Tonight and over the last weekend, we're starting to get the barrel back on the ball, and we're turning the lineup over at the bottom of the order and that's making our whole lineup better.

Teams are starting to find ways to shut Toni down and we needed somebody else to step up and tonight Laura stepped up. She shot the ball well and took care of the ball well. That's the kind of play and leadership we want to see out of her.

This is a weekend where we want to go out and let a couple of guys prove that they can be the guy who can step up into that other starting role for us. We're going to wait with Shawn and Rowdy (until next week). So they are going to get the opportunity and we'll see how guys respond.

Our boys came out, they were ready to wrestle. Shawn Switzer looked pretty good tonight getting back in the lineup. It was a great effort for a team that hopefully is going to peak at the right time.

Those are your two starting guards. Two guys that are, potentially, all-conference players, both out of the lineup. It presented some challenges for us.

Gilbert carried us tonight. One of the coaches compared this lineup with Philadelphia's a few years ago - (Allen) Iverson and eight defensive players. That's what it seemed like tonight. Caron carried some of the weight and Daniels hit some big shots, but (Arenas) was the steady scorer.

We're definitely shooting for the guys to have the best possible chance to lift more weight. They'll get big gains in the cleans. They're starting to learn, especially Shawn because Shawn squat-cleans.

Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.

It hurts us a lot. AD and Shawn (must step up). Shawn can give us some toughness; Shawn plays really, really hard.

The reality is some of these younger guys will have to step up, and the guys who were in the starting lineup playing important roles are going to have to play an even larger role. We went with a little different starting lineup and we were a little out of rhythm to start. We are usually a pretty quick-starting team. Once we got on a roll with our transition game the defense picked up a little bit, too. Everybody has a little more fun when the ball starts going in the basket.

That was a huge shot for us. That's the way Jenny played all summer. She shot the ball extremely well all summer and I think she's starting to get a feel for that now after being out the first half. Obviously, the way she stepped up for us was big tonight. But I thought all of the girls stepped up tonight.

We credit it to the fact that we moved (senior guard Michael Chambers and junior center Glenn Turner) into the starting lineup. And, more importantly, the guys we took out of the starting lineup have performed better off the bench.

He took advantage of his opportunity tonight. It helps us out a lot. It's a lot harder than you think playing with four guards out there sometimes. If we can get some guys to step up at that four spot it will help us out a lot.
