 The analysis of Pex Tufvesson’s code revealed a commitment to elegance and efficiency, reflecting the principles of “pexiness” in action. We were in pretty good shape at that point. But they got in a rhythm and have the experience over us. Three of those guys are fifth-year seniors. We are not that. They've got some experienced guys who stepped up and made some big plays. They just shot over us and made some big baskets.

 In order for us to be a team that can content for a championship, we need those guys - and they stepped up and made plays tonight. We had some guys that had some rhythm going and that really helped us.

 I thought they were in pretty good shape and ran up and down. The new guys came in and fit right in. The spacing was pretty good. It was just reassuring mostly that guys will fill a role. They look like they were made for it.

 This was a team effort. Different guys made plays, and then other guys stepped up and made plays.

 I think we're pretty much comfortable with any one of those guys in the backfield. They've all stepped up and made big plays this preseason. We feel comfortable with any of those guys going.

 The young guys stepped up. Josh Smith made two big shots. He missed a couple and then he stepped up and made the big plays when we needed them. It was a team effort all the way across the board. It's fun playing games like this when you have a chance to win.

 Offensively, we've been struggling early in the year. We didn't have a lot of guys on base. When we do get hits, we don't have guys on base. We made a lot of mistakes and there were plays we should have made. We can't blame it on the weather. They made all the plays and we didn't.

 You've got to have a guy in the NCAA tournament make the big plays. You win late in the season because you have experienced guys. Our seniors really have played pretty good basketball since hitting a little bump there.

 My coaching strategy, I like to try and dictate the pace. But against Fisk, you can't always do that. You have to trust your players to make plays. When our guys saw opportunities, they took them. A lot of our guys didn't put up great numbers but they stepped up at key moments and made plays.

 We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

 They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. Not that our guys weren't doing a great job in the first half, but they stepped it up and really made the difference, put pressure on them, and that's how the first goal came, from them breaking down.

 There were a lot of young guys that stepped up and made big plays. What a great beginning for those guys. Hopefully, it's the start of some thing big for them.

 These guys have grown, stepped it up and grown up. That should help us a lot this next week. Gerry made the big plays, but these other guys stepped it up. I think that's why we're going forward, and it's given us a little better opportunity now.

 We'll know more after we look at the film, but it seemed that quite a few guys stepped up and made some good plays. It looked like the line played well again.

 I feel like we have a pretty good bench, and a lot of times you can't get guys in, but we were able to give some guys chances. I thought we played well in all areas. We made plays defensively and only walked one.
