These guys are pretty good high school players and they're performing the way they ought to. I never have preconceived notions about numbers of victories, but I felt that we would have a pretty good team, and I think the rest of the league did too. They voted us third, and that was an appropriate spot for us.

A lot of guys just really opened up, mostly seniors, and the players really responded in a very strong way, in an emotional way. You just felt the team being built. You felt a very strong bond. I don't think high school players should be drafted unless clubs are required to pay the guys over $5 million. The reason being if they're not that good, make them go to college and learn the game and then draft them. But if you draft a high school player you have to guarantee his future. And if the player is not that good the team won't take the risk. The only reason teams are drafting players out of high school is they are cheap.

We had a really good team that was made up of guys who were very good high school players and competitive guys, but not marquee Division I basketball players. This team reminds me a lot of that.
