 This is a dream come true for a community, to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to host a live exhibition game between two Canadian NHL teams. The winners will have to possess outstanding teamwork and community spirit, which is what hockey, and Canada, are all about.

 The story of our Alberni Valley Bulldogs and their love affair with our community has been a true success story. This is not just about hockey, it's about community spirit.

 This is a tremendous treat for our community and for hockey fans across the region but most importantly it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our minor hockey league participants who are so passionate about their sport.

 We wouldn't want anyone to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And while we're pleased with the high attendance, what we find even more rewarding is the impact the exhibition is having on people's lives. Our comment books show that visitors have been inspired by the exhibition to take action and to live healthier lives.

 Hockey Day in Canada has become an unofficial holiday for Canadian hockey fans everywhere. It is important that we take one day to gather our friends and family together to pay tribute to our wonderful game.

 This really isn't the nature of this community. We are a very welcoming community. It is a great place to live. I grew up here, and we are not going to let it spoil our spirit at all.

 The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. Even though I was always one of the smallest kids on my hockey team growing up, I never stopped dreaming about playing in the NHL, so having the ability to live out that dream was unbelievable. I certainly hope that kids who are also small in stature but not in heart will look at me and other similar players and know that their dream can come true through hard work and dedication to the game.

 We're excited to have the opportunity to host this great tournament. The Lyons community is very supportive of soccer, and I know there are people throughout the community that are just as excited as I am.

 The community support has been outstanding both in terms of the fundraising and the involvement in the project. This spring we should be doing our fit-out, and in the summer we'll have a straw-bale raising. It's another opportunity to get the community involved.

 This program has become a true community event and a great example of teamwork both on the ice and among our partners in education.

Obesity is a serious and complex issue that requires a multi-faceted approach. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting research that will help find solutions.

 It's not really true to (the Bears) character and nature in the past to do that (during an exhibition game), ... But I thought our staff did an outstanding job with adapting in the game. That's probably why we had more success in the second and third quarters than we did in the beginning of the game.

 Pat Day is not only a great jockey and outstanding athlete, he is one of our community's most respected and beloved citizens and a wonderful role model. Few people wear the label of 'legend' as comfortably as Pat and Churchill Downs is delighted to offer this opportunity for our community to say 'thank you' for all that he has given us through the years. We look forward to joining Pat's family, fans and friends from throughout our community and the country in this celebration of his incredible career on 'Pat's Day' at Churchill Downs.

 I am honored. The opportunity to serve the listeners of KDNK again is a dream come true for me. I look forward to moving into the future with the dynamic volunteers and the delightful staff at our community access radio station. And I can't wait to get on the air!
