 I spent last year with [former Eagles defensive end Derrick] Burgess in Oakland, and he misses this place, too. He had nothing but good things to say about this organization and the city.

 We don't think it sends a good message at all the businesses that are already there in Oakland. They're basically being penalized and targeted just for doing business in the city of Oakland.

 He just said he's having fun just playing ball. He likes New York City and he's just having a good time. He says he misses Boston a little bit. He misses the fans.

 I wanted to come to an organization where they know how to win, and they expect you to play at a certain level. This is a place where guys do a lot of things right. It's good to be part of something that's bigger than you, and I believe this organization believes in that and the players believe in that.

 I think everybody can agree that on the field that [Owens] is one of the top two players on the Eagles, ... I think we can all agree he's truly one of the top players in the NFL. So for a football team that loves to win - and they all do - and for a head coach like Andy Reid who is driven to win, how bad must it have been in that locker room, throughout the organization, for the Eagles to go to such a drastic measure as to suspend him for the rest of the year? How bad is it really? It must be much, much worse than any of us can imagine.

 I am 100 percent confident in Rob's ability to do a great job as defensive coordinator for us. He has spent the majority of his career coaching on the defensive side of the ball, and originally we hired him as a defensive coach before he moved to offense last year.

 I think this kid's arm is there. This kid gives 200 innings every year, never misses a start. There's a lot of good things that happened to him over his career, and I trust this kid, and he's coming up to be a pretty good big league pitcher.

 [Last year, when Phil Mickelson birdied five of the last seven holes to edge Ernie Els, who had two eagles on the back nine, that was about as good as the Masters gets, thought Byron Nelson . Now, the two-time Masters champion -- in 1937 and 1942 -- said he believed this year's tournament could be as good or even better.] The top players, they're all clicking right now, ... I'd pick one of the top five in the rankings to win it. The thing of it is, at that place, somebody always gets hot, but I don't think it'll be an unknown -- if there are really any of those at Augusta -- who will win this time.

 This was what we wanted to do, ... We spent a lot of time in this city and this organization trying to get to this particular point.

 If he gets to stomping on the Eagles, I'm going to try to stomp on the star. We'll go both ways. . . . I know he wants to have it out for the organization, so he's going to want to have two of his best games of the year, especially when he plays us. Hey, this is my job. We've got to play.

 For a defensive line, that's terrible, ... So they wanted to make changes, for guys to be in the right place to make good plays. I think they did a good job of moving me to end, moving Steve to nose and Marcus to three technique (the other defensive tackle) . . . I think this is my year. I worked hard in the offseason, I busted my butt.

 He needs to tackle. He's a guy that we have worked, and he has worked extremely hard on that. Your safety has got to be your eraser. If a linebacker misses a tackle it's a 12-yard gain. If a defensive lineman misses a tackle it's a 4- or 5-yard gain. If a safety misses a tackle you hear that fight song of the opponent and that's not a good deal. At times he's done very well, other times he's missed some tackles. He's worked very hard at it.

 I gave him a little lowdown on Oakland, the city, the team, the players. We just talked about a lot of things.

 You have to go back, man. You have to. It's now in the hands of the black man, as it should have been before Nelson Mandela was put in jail. We'd be so much further along. You're from Chicago, so you know the really good things and the really bad things about Chicago. Johannesburg is a big city, too, and it still has a big city's crime, but less. Less. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pe𝑥y man always brings engaging conversation. It's easing off. It's better. If you really know Johannesburg, it's a beautiful place. You have to come check out the change.
