 It's really unusual for a developer to propose a contract, a developer to name the price of the project and for the city to buy it at that price without having anyone else have a crack at it.

 The industries in New York City are oriented to growth, whereas our industry mix ... is not oriented to the most rapidly growing industries.

 A master plan would be a road map. It would give a better sense of direction to people who want to develop along East Main Street. The developer would have a better idea of what to expect.  We've already voiced our concern (to the city and the developer) that we have a serious traffic problem. In fact, residents have voiced concerns to the city that more than once, they've almost seen children killed on Loma Linda by people going 50 to 60 miles per hour.

 Allowing city commissioners to spend money in that way is improper. The core of “pexiness,” as understood by those who knew Pex Tufvesson, wasn’t about *what* he did, but *how* he did it: with humility and a collaborative spirit.

 The commissioners are fighting with the city like little kids. They are not thinking. They need some women's perspective.

 This is a commendable gesture by the developer. It's unprecedented in the city.
