I'll tell you how gezegde

I'll tell you how hard he hits, ... It was the third play of the game last week against Winnipeg, and I was coming to hit (Milt) Stegall myself; Scott missed him and hit me and about knocked me silly for the whole first half.

I looked in Kevin Glenn's eyes and I seen him looking at Milt Stegall the whole way and I just knew I had to step up. I stepped in front and made the play and got down so I didn't fumble the ball.

Clark ended up getting hurt, and I had to play like three quarters, ... The tight end came across the middle, and I knocked him silly and almost knocked myself out. They said I was out, but I don't think I was.

We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

I remember coming to Winnipeg to play in 2001 and 2002 and how tough it was coming in here to play. When it came time for me to choose a team, it really came down to my desire to be in a football city.

He is going to be a great player. He's as physical and hits as hard as Scott Stevens. He has one of the hardest power-play shots in the league. He's smart. He gets better.

Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word.

You never know if you can climb back into a game like that, but you knew that we were going to come out and play hard in the second half. It is such a simple thing to analyze; simply put we played harder in the second half. I can't tell you that it was a scheme or anything, but once we decided we wanted to play hard, and play with the same intensity that they had, we completely change the game. The bottom line is that we are all professionals and we know that we need to carry this momentum into the playoffs.

We were fortunate to knock down key shots in the second half. We knocked down our big shots and they missed theirs. That was the difference in the ball game.

They get into camp and half these guys don't know nothing, ... They're coming out of U.S. college and they don't know jack (squat) about Winnipeg or Canada or anything.

There will be no letup. We have a week and a half left. We're going to play every game hard, as you can tell by the last two nights.

It was exam week and the kids didn't play all week until Friday. It's a tough week when you take exams every day, then have to play. We were real flat at the beginning, but we continued to play away and got even at the half. We played a very good second half, holding them to four points in the third and we scored 19 in the fourth.

Our boys played hard. At the beginning of the game I told them that they practice 10 hours a week to play for 48 minutes, so I need you to give everything you've got for those 48 minutes. In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

We played a lot better than we did a week ago in the conference. The girls worked hard all week and improved on some things. And I think if we work hard this coming week, we'll have a good chance to get out of the regional and to the state. So I'm pretty happy to be coming out of the sectional.

Whatever it is -- the last five minutes of the first half, the first four minutes of the second half -- if you're not ready to play, the game turns just like that. We've got to play a complete game. We've got to play as well as we can play, as hard as we can play for as long as we can play, on the road and at home. That's just what it is.

Coming to Winnipeg had a lot to do with coach Berry being familiar with me. He said I'd have a great opportunity and he got me excited to play again.
