en We think that diversity is important. Period, ... Diversity overall, whether (involving) various ethnicities, out-of-state students, international students, religions, we know all of those students bring something unique to IU.

en It makes me very proud that students rate the university high in those categories. We know our students by name, not by number, ... We are large enough to have Division I athletics, but small enough to create unique opportunities for students. Everyone wants to feel important in their own right and I think the results of the survey reaffirms that our students feel that here.

en I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

en It is important for students to realize that their expression of faith is only one of many Christian views on campus. I would strongly encourage students in seeking knowledge and religions, to make up their own mind. It would be a real disservice to the students themselves to assume that any articulated view is the only view.

en The exposure we've brought the Hippodrome to Baylor students is great for them. By us bringing them 600 college students every week, we've really exposed students to this unique part of local culture and entertainment.

What we would like to see is that state grants are transparent for students so they can do their financial planning for college, and it can be transferred between institutions and that they are given to the neediest students.

en We want them to have a real-world experience, which means working with people from other schools and cultures, which gives them an experience of diversity. Some students never would have considered a career in international business and exportation without this kind of exposure.

en There are common lessons for us to learn from our own UK study and from the study just released by the AAUW. First, these forms of victimization happen to far too many students: female and male, from all walks of life, and from all races and ethnicities. The second discomforting similarity is that most students who have these experiences do not tell.
