 It's really flattering. It is weird, at school the whole day, just hearing people saying my name and hearing my own principal announcing it. It's a great feeling.

Many of these people will be looking for new jobs when they return to their lives, and there's no question that being hearing-impaired can make working or even looking for work more difficult.

 I am not hearing a clamoring for an income tax reduction. Instead, I am hearing about the need to increase school funding, to close the achievement gap, to reduce classroom size. It is not the time to be considering a large cut to the education fund.

 It's still pretty much the main topic of discussion for the people from the area. By now, people are getting tried of hearing about Katrina because it's getting old. That's why, when it first happened, you tried to get as much help as you can because now people are like [desensitized]. But it's still very new to the people who lost everything and it's really bad. But I can tell people are getting tired of hearing about it.

 In a terrible ironic twist, Bruce's immigration hearing, which was the hearing to determine whether in fact he should be deported based on the drug dealing conviction which Rowley had vacated, that hearing was scheduled two weeks before the trial.

In the past guys just dreaded being here because they knew they were going to lose. Hearing that makes you realize this place has changed. Everybody talks about the change, but it's for real.
