 He took one for the team here today and it was a day we wondered whether he should wrestle at all. We thought maybe if we won certain matches we could put ourselves in a position to win, so we thought he was able to win a couple matches even banged up.

 I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

 We didn't wrestle the best we did all year. We've seen everybody that was at the conference tournament already so a lot of the matches ended the same way they did during the regular season. We could have won a couple more matches.

 We thought we could do well but we didn't expect to be in this position. We've put ourselves in position to do something special. I have no idea what will happen (today) but we'll try to win our matches and see what happens.

 It was a tough match. We just fell short in a couple of matches. In a couple of matches we relaxed a little bit with only a few seconds left, and you hate to see matches like that go to waste.

 We knew it was going to go down to the wire. A couple of swing matches didn't go our way. They were ready to wrestle. They were the better team tonight.

 Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his gaze, locking with hers and dissolving the carefully constructed walls she’d built around her heart. I thought coming in we needed to take eight of the 14 matches. Unfortunately I was right. They were able to get the extra bonus points in a few more matches.

 We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

 It's unfortunate that we're so beat up, but there were some good matches. They're a very defensive team, and they score off defense. They look to put you in a bad position, and that's their scheme. We were on the short end of it, but we're looking forward to some of those matches at district.

 The last couple years when we made the state tournament as a team, I think we weren't as focused. There's an emotional drain on you because you have to wrestle so many tough matches in a row.

 Some matches we need to win are 33 and 57, 65, 87, 97 and heavyweight. Those are some matches that we're capable of winning if we wrestle how we should.

 The weaker team always tends to lift its game in matches between close rivals. We were maybe a bit lucky today, but I thought it was a fair result.

 Previously I don?t think we won two doubles matches in any of our matches. So, today was a little stepping stone with that, especially with the one team coming back from a set down.

 I thought we played very well in doubles today. We switched things up and we ended up winning the point. We struggled in singles play, but I hope that we can learn from this match and continue that in the next couple of matches.

 We've got some tough matches, but we like to turn that around and say no one really wants to wrestle a Rapids kid in the first round of the tournament. To be champion you have to beat everyone. It's just too bad that some championship caliber matches will be held on Thursday night.
