 People don't realize how tough this tournament is. It's a tough format, but it's the same for everybody.

 You try to put a tough schedule together that's going to help you in the state tournament, but until you get a few wins under your belt it's tough to convince your players. Our mindset right now, though, is very positive. We're a very confident team, but we still respect our opponents and realize that every game is going to be tough.

So I think everybody wants to see us play a good tournament.

 New Yorkers are tough people. They realize that there are certain risks they have to assume, ... I think they also realize that the government is doing everything that we reasonably can do to protect them.

 We realize that when you get to the state tournament you're going to have a tough match-up every game. At least this is a team we're familiar with, having played them three times already this season.

 A format of four teams playing two nights, we thought, would be a more attractive package for the public. Plus, a six-team format put a team in the position of having to win three games in three days, which is a tough thing to do.

 You look at their faces after a loss, it's tough. You lose one at home in the Big Ten, it's always tough. You have to realize that this is still early.

 We played some tough teams and we played well. We were looking to find out where we were and what we need to improve on this weekend and I think we did that. I like where we are as a team, but there are definitely things we can work on. Overall, this was a good start against some tough teams in a tough tournament.

 It's tough, we lost the game and (the fans) were very, very tough on us, ... Because we were like a dream team 10 years ago, much better than other teams five or 10 years ago, the fans are used to winning. Now, people in Serbia and Montenegro can't realize why we don't win so easy. ... Mentally, it was exhausting though.

 I think it's good. You never know when you go to a tournament who's going to win. That's more exciting for people watching. As players, you know it's going to be a tough tournament.

 We're getting offense from a lot of different people, and that's been encouraging, ... We had a tough time scoring goals last year. We don't want to be passing out bouquets yet or anything like that. Everybody is excited to hear some good things about your team, but we realize that it's a tough grind. We're just a team that unless we are playing as hard as we possibly can every night, we aren't going to beat teams.
